Karthi not afraid of competition with Superstar

It may not be the biggest battle of the stars but southern star Karthi and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan are set to battle it out at the box-office this Friday with their films Biriyani and Dhoom 3 respectively. Although Karthi will face Aamir head on in southern markets, he is confident about Biriyani, which is also being released in Telugu.

Karthi said that people will watch Dhoom 3 in Chennai as well as Hyderabad but that doesn’t bother him because his core audience lie in the interiors of Tamil Nadu, and he hopes if he can impress them with his film, then he will succeed. With three back-to-back flops, Karthi desperately needs a hit and going by the track record of Venkat Prabhu, Biriyani might just give him the much needed hit.

Karthi lost three kilos for the film, which also portray him for the first time in contact lens. He calls the film a stylish entertainer with lots of thrills and he promises to entertain.
