The whooping business Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick’ is making at he box-office is leaving the trade pandits wondering. Within two days of its release, the film crossed Rs.50 crore mark and running with packed theatres all set to make new records in Bollywood. Released on a non-holiday, it is no joke to collect such an humungous amount. Salman’s good friend Aamir Khan’s film ‘Dhoom 3’ strategically was released on a holiday which gave it record collections and the film crossed the landmark of collecting Rs.100 crores, just in three days.
Even Shahrukh’s ‘Chennai Express’ was released on a holiday during Eid and recorded Rs.100 crore collections in three days. If ‘Kick’ has to kick away the record of Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s movies, it has to do extraordinary business on Sunday. Though this might not be something impossible, but one can’t be too illogical to hope that ‘Kick’ would collect a huge sum as much as Rs.37 crores in one day. But that doesn’t deter Salman’s movie from dashing towards record collections as Eid (Ramzan) is ahead and the business is likely to rocket high. Many times releasing films during Eid, have proved extremely beneficial for the Khans trio in Bollywood.
