Land Prices doubled in Vijayawada – Guntur!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister designate Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is more or less confirmed to swear in Guntur. The Chief Minister’s camp office is being setup in the Nagarjuna University premises there. These actions aided the rumours and speculations of the state capital being some where between the Guntur and Vijayawada belt. As a result, the land prices have shot up in and around Vijayawada and Guntur cities in the last week.

While the up-rise of the land rates is evident from the last 6 months, there is a phenomenal increase in the demand of lands in the past one week. With this sudden spurt of activity, real estate developers and builders are having a field day and are making huge money. The demand is particularly from the Software people who are expecting the region to see a rise in IT with Chandra Babu Naidu at the helm. They are hoping to shift from the existing IT hubs to this region some time in the next couple of years.
