Disaster, has Lawrence Anything to Lose?

Raghava Lawrence’s Bollywood outing as a director with ‘Laxmii’ starring a huge superstar like Akshay Kumar was a huge disappointment and a disaster though it was a remake of his blockbuster Tamil movie ‘Kanchana’.

Though the remake was a disaster, Lawrence has got nothing to lose. He has a safe market in Kollywood with B and C centres where the ‘Kanchana’ franchise turned out to be a guarantee for success.

Even in the Telugu Film Industry, Lawrence and his movies have got decent market. So, nothing was at stake before the release and he has got nothing to lose after the release, as well. He would continue to the same Kanchana franchise with a minimum guarantee market riding on him.

However, Bollywood would remember him as a filmmaker who gave a flop to Akshay Kumar who is popular as the superstar who can ride even an illogical film entirely on his shoulders, but not this ‘Laxmii’.
