Dulquer-Venky Reunite for Lucky Baskhar 2: Confirmed?

Dulquer Salmaan is currently promoting his upcoming film I’m Game, which is also releasing in Telugu. As part of the promotions, a fun interaction between Dulquer and director Venky Atluri has been released.

During the interview, the two discussed the possibility of a sequel to Lucky Baskhar. Venky Atluri promised Dulquer that he would come up with Lucky Baskhar 2 very soon. Dulquer also expressed his interest in working with the director again, praising their strong working relationship.

Dulquer revealed how much Lucky Baskhar has connected with audiences outside India as well. He recalled that while shooting for Sri Sri in Budapest, people from countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Tibet, and parts of Southeast Asia recognized him. Interestingly, many of them did not call him Dulquer. They called him Baskhar, showing how strongly the character had stayed with them.

According to Dulquer, Baskhar’s journey as a common man struggling to take care of his family connected with people across different countries and languages. He described it as a very Indian story that managed to cross borders.

Dulquer is therefore clearly excited about the possibility of reuniting with Venky Atluri for Lucky Baskhar 2.

Lucky Baskhar was one of the rare films that delivered both box-office success and strong audience appreciation. The film also earned considerable goodwill for Dulquer and Venky. That has naturally created high expectations for a sequel.

Now, the big question is whether Lucky Baskhar 2 will actually happen soon and, if it does, whether Venky Atluri can recreate the magic of the original.
