"Mine is not a spin-off on the hit film"

Madhavan’s upcoming bilingual ‘Saala Kadoos’ (Irudhi Suttru in Tamil) has been garnering positive buzz for the kind of promotions it is doing and even the trailer was different and has got something very promising.

But comparisons are drawn with Madhavan’s character as a boxing coach with Shahrukh Khan’s hockey coach avatar in the well acclaimed ‘Chak De India’. Both portrayed retired coaches in the respective films.

Madhavan gives clarity that it is nothing like Shahrukh’s character. Being the coach is the only similarity between both the two films.

‘Saala Kadoos’ is very different in every aspect says Madhavan, who is also co-producing the movie along with Rajkumar Hiranai. So Madhavan’s film has nothing to do with Shahrukh’s film and isn’t a spin-off on the hit film.
