While we are getting the latest updates on ‘Maharshi’ to keep us exciting, now and then we keep hearing rumours about Mahesh Babu’s next movie that could be with director Sukumar.

According to the latest buzz on the project with Sukumar, Mahesh Babu wasn’t happy with the script narrated by Sukumar who came up with a period drama that would speak about the Razakar movement in Telangana during the period of the 1940s. The period drama if told as a story on the big screen would give rise to many controversies in the present scenario when there are political parties who want to downplay the atrocities the people had to suffer in the hands of Razakars.

The reason could be a different one for Mahesh Babu to allegedly turn down the period film. It could be because there are already a few period dramas in the making or else the physical transformation that Mahesh Babu might have to undergo if he has to take up such a subject. It’s being rumoured that the superstar isn’t ready for the head to toe transformation the period drama would demand. So, what kind of story would Sukumar come up with for Mahesh Babu?
