Mahesh-Mani project from July

Mani Ratnam is busy putting things together to start working on his next project which is said to be a bilingual featuring Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu in lead roles. Mani has finalized locations in Hyderabad and the regular shooting is expected to start from July.

This is the first time Mahesh and Nag will be teaming up and the buzz has created waves in the industry already. Mani has received confirmation from both the actors but he is yet to zero in on the leading ladies. There were rumours that he had signed on Aishwarya Rai for the film, but all that was put to rest by Ash recently. Everybody wonders who will Mani zero in on then for the film. Sources say that Anushka Shetty and Samantha are being considered for roles opposite Nag and Mahesh, respectively.

Mani has to prove himself with the film after the disaster of Kadali. It turns out that this film will be a litmus test for the filmmaker.
