Malayalam Star Shows Nithiin How To Steal Show On OTT

Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Bhramam is streaming on an OTT platform. It is the second South Indian remake of the Bollywood thriller Andhadhun. Nithiin starrer Maestro is the first and hence the connection between the two.

A couple of weeks ago, Maestro hit the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. It opened with mixed reviews. Many gave it a pass for being faithful to the original and not spoiling it much. However, none of the cast won any particular acclaim. Remember, the original Andhadhun got its lead actor National Award for Best Actor. It was such a ‘special’ role, but Nithiin couldn’t make it one in his career.

Today, yet another remake of Andhadhun has been released in Malayalam. It is Bhramam starring Malayalam star Prithviraj. The critics are unanimously praising Prithviraj for his terrific portrayal. Even a few who aren’t on board the remake are calling him the best thing. It is this sort of praise that entirely eluded Nithiin. And Prithviraj is showing how it’s done, how to steal the show with an OTT release and make it count.

Bhramam is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Ravi K Chandran, currently working as a cinematographer for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, is the movie’s director.
