Malayalam star Mammooty is a huge name in the south and is widely respected all over. Going into details, a head from the women’s rights activists in Kerala says that a dialogue mouthed by Mammooty from his film regarding women’s menstrual cycle is quite insulting towards women folks. Mammootty says a dialogue to his junior in uniform that he could stop her menstrual cycle and “she wouldn’t be able to walk for a week”. A controversy has kicked off now as the censor board also did not order to remove the dialogue in the film.
Mammotty plays a cop in this film which has been declared as a huge hit all over Kerala. Adding even more controversy several political leaders said that a star like Mammootty should have been more careful with such dialogues which insult women.
However, the film’s director Nidhin Renji Panicker says that his film and dialogues only reflect what is going on in the society. On the other hand the star hero is yet to give a statement about this controversy and the pressure is mounting on him big time.
