Mandamarri to The Moon: Chandrayaan Motion Poster Raises Curiosity

The motion poster of Chandrayan has been unveiled, giving audiences a glimpse into a wildly imaginative adventure built around a distinctly Telangana-rooted premise.

“Mandamarri to Chandrayan” is the theme that drives the creative announcement video, which features a rocket blasting into space as an earthy Telangana song plays in the background.

Presented by Venu Udugula, the film follows his successful association with Raju Weds Rambai and aims to deliver another entertaining story with a strong local flavour. The film is produced by Praveen Molaka under Simba Screen Stories and directed by Srinath Chandrasekhar.

Rather than focusing on scientists or sophisticated space technology, the film turns the spotlight on ordinary youngsters who dare to dream beyond their circumstances. That contrast forms the major attraction of the glimpse.

The three protagonists construct their own rocket using whatever is available to them, from bike tyres and a pressure cooker to dumbbells and other everyday items. Their bizarre but ambitious plan to travel to the moon immediately sparks curiosity.

Sivakumar Dheekonda, Swapna Priyadarshini, Ravi Sivateja, Vamsidhar, Lokesh and Balagam Satyanarayana headline the cast. Harsha Praveen is the music director, while Srinath Chandrasekhar handles the story, screenplay, dialogues and direction.
