Mani Ratnam’s peaceful detour for media

Director Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini’s comments had become a big talking point prior to the release of the film Ok Bangaram. It has without any doubt left many fuming in the media.

However director Mani Ratnam took all that in right spirit and tried his best to cover for wife Suhasini’s words and put the criticism and critics in right space. His words were mostly appreciated and now he has gone a step ahead and released a press note thanking the entire media for the love and support and the rave reviews they have given to his latest release.

Ok Kanmani is running very well in Tamil Nadu and parts of Overseas based on the strength of these superlative reviews without any doubt. Things don’t look that rosy in Telugu though with the film now reported to have fallen big. Nonetheless the critical reception has been mostly positive here too.
