Marathi movie pips biggies in Oscar race

Today was the announcement of India’s official Oscar entry and people from across the industry were cited to the nominee as many big films were involved.

Films like Aamir Khan starrer PK, Salman Khan’s Bajarangi Bhaijaan and Dhanush produced Kakka Muttai etc were in the contention to be the official Indian entry. However as it turns out they all have lost to a small Marathi film.

Court is a critically acclaimed Marathi film that has already won National Award for Best Film. The selection of the film has met with positive response unlike previous years where huge dissatisfaction among movie lovers.
