Along with the motion poster of ‘Viswasam’, the makers of the movie had announced that this Ajith Kumar’s film will be arriving for Pongal 2019. Pongal is one of the biggest festival seasons in both Tamil and Telugu film industries and we normally get to see multiple releases, sometimes two big stars in a face-off with each other.

With ‘Viswasam’ motion poster’s release, it’s a clear indication that Ajith Kumar’s movie will take on Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’. It was official some time back that ‘Petta‘ will be arriving for Pongal 2019. The first single of the movie will be released on 3rd December followed by the second on 7th December. That means, this coming Pongal will be mass senior star aka Superstar Rajinikanth versus mass junior star aka Thala Ajith Kumar.

Rajinikanth’s previous movies with young director Pa Ranjith couldn’t set the box-office on fire as expected and ‘Petta’ is the third one with another young director Karthik Subbaraju. In between ‘2.O’ is getting ready for 29th November 2018 release. So, the competition between ‘Petta’ and ‘Viswasam’ will be interesting as both of them have strong fan following among the masses. Both the movies belong to a similar genre that would cater to the tastes of the masses. Let’s wait and see.
