Excitement is building for Varun Tej’s upcoming film Matka, set to release on November 14th. Directed by Karuna Kumar and produced by Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments, the movie will show the journey of the protagonist from rags to riches. As part of promotions, the makers will be releasing a series of making videos.
The Act 1 of Behind The Game, the legacy of Poorna Market is explored. It showcase the efforts of the production team to recreate Poorna Market which was originally known as Sardar Vallabhai Patel Market. The 10-acre set designed by Kiran Kumar Manne aims to capture the market’s cultural heritage.
To give the authenticity, around 1500 shops were erected, other than the iconic Poorna Theatre, Photo Studio, meat shops, fish markets, and lively streets, enhanced by antique cars and traditional rickshaws.
The major chunk of first half of the movie is set in Poorna Market and it shows the rise of Varun Tej’s character.
