The last few years have been tough for fans of the Mega family. Almost every film from the camp turned into a major disappointment at the box office.
Movies like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, Game Changer, Bholaa Shankar, and Matka left fans disheartened. But things finally seem to be taking a turn for the better.
The revival is expected to begin with OG, starring Pawan Kalyan. The film is set for release on 25 September and is already one of the most anticipated films of his career.
OG promises to be a stylish action entertainer and could showcase Pawan in one of his most sleek and powerful avatars yet. Trade analysts are already predicting it to break several box office records in the regional market.
Following that is Chiranjeevi’s upcoming comedy entertainer with director Anil Ravipudi. Slated for a Sankranti 2026 release, this film is expected to be a sure-shot success, thanks to Anil’s mass appeal and hit streak.
While some might label Anil’s comedy as cringe, his brand of family entertainment clearly strikes a chord with the Telugu audience, who’ve long missed light-hearted entertainers.
Next in the lineup is Ram Charan’s Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu. After the delays and confusion around Game Changer, this rural action drama is being seen as a much-needed reset for Charan.
With promising films lined up for Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, and Ram Charan, it looks like the Mega family is all set to bounce back. Their fans, who’ve patiently waited through a difficult phase, finally have reasons to celebrate.
