Megastar refused Rs.6.21 Cr only after controversy?

Lintas, an ad agency says that it came to know about the decision of the megastar that he isn’t going to charge any fee for endorsing social causes like for farmer DD Kisan Channel only on Tuesday. It was widely rumoured that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachan charged his highest, Rs.6.21 Cr for endorsing DD Kisan, a channel exclusively for farmers.

The above said ad agency, Lintas already collected the amount from Prasar Bharati for the promotional costs incurred for the endorsement. Now the ad agency is in the process of refunding the money after Amitabh rejected the rumour being paid any amount for his endorsement. He denies getting into any contract for the same.

While there are questions on roping Amitabh for endorsing a channel for farmers, one doubt seems to be creeping out by default. Did Lintas initiate talks with megastar on remuneration and did he decide to work free of cost only after the controversy broke in? The way Lintas is giving explanation points on megastar’s refusal only after the controversy broke in!
