Sudha Reddy, wife of Chandragiri TDP MLA Pulivarthi Nani, alleged that Chevireddy had attempted to create a disturbance at a polling station. She questioned his activities and asked him to allow polling to proceed peacefully.

Speaking about the incident, Sudha Reddy accused Chevireddy of attempting to create tension during elections and then using such incidents to demand repolling. She claimed that he had followed a similar approach in the past.

Explaining why she was accompanying him, Sudha Reddy said her intention was to prevent any disturbances and ensure peaceful polling in Chandragiri.

She stated that she was acting as an escort to Chevireddy to make sure that no incidents occurred that could disrupt the election process. She also offered to visit polling stations with him in the same vehicle.

During their exchange, Sudha Reddy reportedly told Chevireddy that she would accompany him wherever he went. She also asked him not to unnecessarily provoke TDP leaders and workers.

The incident took place against the backdrop of the longstanding political rivalry between Chevireddy and the Pulivarthi family in Chandragiri.

The confrontation attracted attention as the TDP and YSRCP closely monitored polling activities during the November 5 MPTC and ZPTC elections in Tirupati district.
