Senior Star Creating Havoc At Box Office

Senior Malayalam star Mohanlal is creating havoc at the box office. He is putting up some never heard before collections for a Malayalam movie with his latest release Pulimurugan.

To just give an example of how sensational its run is Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan which released on October 7, has been collecting a gross of 4Cr for its first five days taking it past 20 Cr gross in jaw-dropping five days flat. This sort of mayhem for a Malayalam film has not been witnessed before. The biggest opening day previously for a Malayalam film was around 2.5 Cr.

What makes this achievement beyond amazing is the fact that this is Mohan Lal’s fifth release in last month and a half. One of those films Oppam is still running and continuing to mint money at box office. Currently, the highest grossing Malayalam movie is Mohanlal’s Drushyam, Puli Murugan is expected to cross it comfortably. The Telugu dubbed version of the film arrives in cinemas on October 21.
