Director Nag Ashwin and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD premieres on June 27. Before we delve into Ashwin’s dystopian future, the prequel animated series Bujji & Bhairava gives us a glimpse into Prabhas’s character and his intriguing world.
The series reveals how the loyal robot Bujji (voiced by Keerthy Suresh) and Bhairava (Prabhas) become inseparable. The dubbing by Prabhas, Keerthy Suresh, and Pasupathi enhances the experience.
The action scenes, infused with humor, appeal primarily to children.
Expectations were low after the Baahubali: Crown Of Blood animation series which didn’t even meet basic cartoon standards. SS Rajamouli and the Baahubali makers should have taken more care to protect the Baahubali brand.
The animation in Bujji & Bhairava by Green Gold Animation, the team behind Chhota Bheem, is impressive and significantly better than the atrocious quality seen in that Baahubali animated series.
Bujji & Bhairava marks a decent advancement in animation with its detailed work.
The series has four episodes, with the first two now available on Prime Video.
