Director and Producer Nag Ashwin and Executive Director Sankalp Ghora sat down with M9 News to discuss their most prestigious film Sing Geetham, which was released last Friday and has been receiving fantastic reviews and immense audience love. They shared their working and learning experiences from the legendary Singeetham Srinivas Rao garu.
Both Nag Ashwin and Sankalp acknowledged a few flaws in the film, particularly with the CGI in the climax, which they intend to improve for the Netflix release. They also recounted the numerous challenges they faced during the shoot to find suitable locations.
The destroyed nature spot in the location was actually the original one, which they couldn’t believe was really happening around them. Nag Ashwin expressed his frustration at seeing trees being cut down regularly for roads and urban development projects like HCU and KBR Park.
They discussed how few sequences were shot and how Devi Sri Prasad had to meticulously double-check each reel for synchronisation with the dialogues through songs. Interestingly, they revealed that releasing the trailer after the film’s release was an idea they hadn’t considered, which was instead released online by Jr. NTR through his X account.
