The producer of Guntur Kaaram, Naga Vamsi interacted with the media today and spoke about the film and also about how he takes the post-release feedback.
“The hungama created by a few social media users and a section of the media shocked us. We weren’t expecting this kind of initial negativity. But we were relieved after the talk settled with the later shows. We had a Sankranthi release a few years ago(Agnyathavasi) and it didn’t do well with negative reviews. Guntur Kaaram got mixed talk and is holding well, so it’s Mahesh sir’s stamina and Trivikram garu’s work” Vamsi said.
The producer said that a section of media intentionally spread negativity on Guntur Kaaram with vested interests.
“We raised a complaint with Book My Show to allow only the people who bought tickets on their portal to give ratings instead of allowing everyone to create a targeted campaign” Vamsi said.
The producer added that Trivikram would soon come to promote Guntur Kaaram by giving media interviews.
