We are just about the time when the morning shows for the new Telugu releases are going to be commencing in a few minutes. We have Naga Bandhanam and Rao Bahadur, which are arriving in theatres today and let’s look at the BookMyShow hourly booking trends.
As of the moment that we are typing this, Naga Bandhanam has around 1.6 K tickets sold per hour, which is a reasonably good number for a film with a lesser known face in the lead role. it appears that the mythological aspect has again appealed to the Telugu audience.
Then we have come up with Rao Bahadur, and this film was aggressively marketed and promoted for the last few days.
This Sathya Dev film has not yet reached the booking Trends on BookMyShow, but it has sold 13.8K tickets in the last 24 hours. The challenge will be to bring the audience to theatres in big numbers.
Both the films have started categorically alright. But considering the massive budget involved, it is Naga Bandhanam, which must continue the strong hold over the weekend. Rao Bahadur was also extensively marketed and it needs to pick up the momentum as well.
There is this Bollywood film Alpha, which is also releasing today, but it has little to no market in Telugu state, so this will not be a mainstream problem for the new Telugu films. They can have a progressively run if they are able to connect with the audience.
