Nagarjuna dragged him to ‘Karthikeya’

After completing his B Tech, an aspiring director set to go to Hyderabad to pursue his dream to make films. When his father asked, “What is the first thing you would do there?” Chandu said that he woud meet his favourite Nagarjuna. His father advised him to meet Nag after he wins recognition for himself.

This isn’t any scene from one of the superhit films. This is what happened with Chandu Mondeti, who gave a surprise block buster this year in the form of ‘Karthikeya’ with Nikhil and Swathi as the lead pair. Today he has got such recognition that Nag himself called the young director to congrajulate him and ask him to write a film for him.

Since the time Chandu watched Nagarjuna’s ‘Allari Alludu’, he became die-hard fan of the Akkineni scion and that admiration dragged the young film maker to Hyderabad in 2006. He met Sudheer Varma of ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ fame and Nikhil who are also aspiring to make it big in Tollywood. Though Nikhil pursued his career as a hero, Chandu always has the clarity that ‘Talent needs no beauty but a hero needs to be handsome’. Good going!
