While the ongoing budget sessions of Andhra Pradesh Assembly are allegedly deemed to discuss various issues pertaining to the state alongwith Capital Region land pooling, little did anyone guess that Chandrababu Naidu would rub the genie of the lamp of his experience and throw a bouncer on the opposition parties who are eagerly waiting to make a mountain of a molehill.
Andhra Pradesh Government has distributed compensation cheques to around 104 farmers in Nelapadu of Capital Region for their lands. As the minister was in the Assembly, CRDA commissioner Srikanth and Joint Collector distributed the cheques. More cheques would be arriving tomorrow to be distributed among the people for compensation for their lands in 29 villages from tomorrow. Despite being in cash crunch Naidu’s move will win immense confidence from farmers by paying them in advance.
This leaves the opposition with nothing left to target CBN regarding the land pooling issue as the farmers are really very happy for the heavy package and also the compensation coming even before the Capital City Region’s foundation stone was laid.
Officially, laying the foundation stone ceremony would happen in June but as of now AP has kicked off levelling work of the land in the capital region as it is considered auspicious to begin with the work. Farmers in Nelapadu village were seen happily signing the legal agreements of the power of attorney to the AP government of the lands given by them.
