The last film to work in theaters was Nani’s production Court, but other recent releases have struggled, failing to even cover basic theater expenses.
The situation is quite bad for single-screen theaters, especially in Telugu states, and everyone is hoping that HIT 3 will pull audiences back into theaters.
Whether Nani’s promises will be fulfilled or not remains to be seen, and we’ll find out in a few days.
HIT 3 is also a crucial film for director Sailesh Kolanu, who created the HIT series but faced a major setback with his last film Saindhav which flopped badly. So far, everything is set for a big release, with advance bookings already taking off. Now, it’s up to the director to deliver and make a solid impact by exploiting the current dry situation at the box office.
