Nandamuri Balakrishna is celebrating his birthday on June 10, and to mark the occasion, his next big film has been officially announced.
Titled NBK111 for now, the film will be directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner—the same production house backing Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi.

NBK111 is being pitched as a high-budget, high-voltage historical action drama, promising an intense cinematic experience.
This marks the second collaboration between Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni after Veera Simha Reddy. While that film was a decent hit and a strong first half, many felt the second half didn’t live up to expectations.

A similar pattern was seen in Gopichand’s recent film Jaat starring Sunny Deol—an impactful beginning that lost momentum after the interval. Despite this, Jaat fared well in B and C centers and was declared a commercial success.
With NBK111, fans are hoping Gopichand finally delivers a more balanced narrative, especially in the second half. The excitement is amplified by Balakrishna’s current form, having delivered back-to-back hits in the action genre.

The announcement poster, which features a fierce lion partially clad in armor, hints at Balakrishna playing a layered warrior character. The film’s historical setting marks a first for Gopichand Malineni, adding further intrigue to the project.
With Akhanda 2 slated for release in September, NBK111 is expected to go on floors soon. The film is currently in its final stages of pre-production.
Fans and trade experts alike are keeping a close eye on this one, hoping it turns into a roaring success for both Balakrishna and Gopichand.
