Nikhil's take on critics & ratings!

It’s a known thing by now that Nikhil’s latest film ‘Shankarabharanam’ opened to mixed reviews from the critics and the word of mouth isn’t that encouraging even. Post the release, Nikhil had a media interaction in which he interacted with NRIs and took their opinion on his movie and especially on his overdone NRI accent for his role.

He talked in detail about media ratings on his movie but happy that he got good feedback from NRIs during the interaction. Nikhil takes the example of national media, which gave good rating for his movie and even people liked it. It’s been a big movie for him in overseas as it is his biggest opening till date.

Nikhil reasons that everyone doesn’t like Pizza. Some may like traditional style like idli and sambar. The same is applicable to his movie even. Whatever might be his reasoning on critics mixed reviews, the NRIs with whom he interacted on a popular Telugu channel’s programme made him happy saying, though the movie isn’t great, it’s not bad either.
