Young actor Naga Shaurya had predominantly been starring in sensible love stories all through his career. But he decided to take a detour of sorts with Aswathama, an action drama with a social message.

Aswathama didn’t get the best of responses from Telugu audiences, but that isn’t stopping Shaurya from taking risks by picking experimental subjects. His upcoming film, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Amayyi proves the same.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi is a slice of life drama. The core plot of the Avasarala Srinivas directorial revolves around the 10-year journey of the protagonist, Naga Shaurya. The latter will be sporting 7 different looks in the film.

Not often do we see proper slice of life dramas in Telugu and as it appears, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi falls under this category. It isn’t an average love drama and comes with a plot that a large section of Telugu audiences are accustomed to, thus making it an experimental project.

Around 50% of the shoot has been wrapped up already. The unit is waiting for the Covid situation to subside in the USA before they leave to the country to shoot the remaining portion. The film will be releasing next year.
