No top records – personal milestones achieved

It has been well past over a day but the fact is that there is still no clarity as to where exactly the film Son of Satyamurthy stands at the opening day. There are various figures floating around which is making hard for one come to a conclusion. However two things are assured one being SOS is the biggest opener ever for Bunny with around 9 Cr collections and that it isn’t in the top three openings of all time.

In overseas the film had third biggest premiere day collections. Son of Satyamurthy ($344.7K) failed to beat the second best Atharintiki Daredi ($345K) by very very meager margin. However it was far behind the number one which is Superstar’s Aagadu at a staggering $523K.

Courtesy of this fabulous performance in both the Telugu states and overseas Allu Arjun has surpassed his personal best opening by going past Race Gurram with big margin. It was expected right from the beginning but still given the permutations and combination at play here one surely expected more.

The real good news for the star and his fans though is that the film has managed to sustain well today. If this trend continues the film might be in for a long haul for sure and given the talk with which the film opened yesterday fans and trade would surely be in for a nice surprise.
