North Indians Cheated With Fake Mass Films

All these years, the North Indian audiences were taken for a ride. Rohit Shetty’s outdated, car-blowing films were shoved down their throats in the name of mass films.

But the scenario changed when Baahubali became an epic blockbuster. The success of Pushpa and KGF too also gave the taste of real mass films to the North audience. But even these films starred South Indian superstars as the heroes and not any Bollywood hero.

Now Tamil director Atlee is coming up with Jawan starring Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer was released yesterday, and the response has been very encouraging from all quarters.

The story seems like one of Atlee’s usual templates, but Shah Rukh Khan has been presented in the massiest way possible. No director ever explored Shah Rukh Khan’s aura and screen presence like Atlee has done.

The North Indian audience and even stars who have been fooled by fake mass films of Rohit Shetty are now realizing what true mass films are.

If Jawan turns out to be a big hit, it would be no surprise if the biggest Bollywood superstars queue up outside the gates of South Indian directors.
