NTR doesn’t run behind directors – Kona Venkat

There have been several rumours that NTR is the first to work with every successful director. For instance, he worked with Srinu Vaitla after blockbuster Dookudu and also worked with Harish Shankar after super blockbuster Gabbar Singh, and is now currently working with Santosh Srinivas after the super hit Kandireega.

There is buzz in the industry is that NTR believes in the successful actor-director combination, but the truth is not that says writer Kona Venkat. He says that NTR had agreed to do Baadshah when Dookudu was still under production, while he agreed to a film with Harish soon after Mirapakaya, but the film only happened after Gabbar Singh. He adds that directors go to NTR to work with him and not the other way. He confirms that it’s the directors who want to work with NTR.

He also said that NTR never asked to cast Samantha and Pranitha with him after the success of Attarinitki Daaredhi. Kona adds that both the actresses were singed for the projects nearly one and a half years back and NTR never asked for them.

Kona asks people to stop making such accusations against NTR because it’s very sensitive. He says that let’s not forget that NTR introduced two of Telugu cinema’s most successful directors Rajamouli and V.V Vinayak. And NTR worked with Vamshi Paidipally for ‘Brindavavanam’ who delivered a flop movie with Prabhas (Munna) previously.
