AK47 Delay Puts Focus on God of War
NTR fans are growing anxious about Trivikram’s ambitious mythological project, tentatively titled God of War, following the latest developments surrounding Aadarsha Kutumbam AK 47. The Venkatesh-starrer has faced multiple postponements, raising questions about Trivikram’s ability to handle a film of much greater scale and technical complexity.
Not many directors have attempted a film based on Lord Subramanya Swamy, the younger son of Lord Shiva. This makes Trivikram’s mythological film particularly exciting. NTR is set to play the title role, and the project has been in discussion for nearly two years.
The film is expected to be mounted on a massive scale, with ambitious visuals, extensive VFX and a pan-India vision. If executed well, it could become a career-defining milestone for both NTR and Trivikram.
However, the situation surrounding Aadarsha Kutumbam has made NTR fans hit the panic button.
The Venkatesh-Trivikram film was expected to release on October 9 after several postponements. It has now been postponed indefinitely. Industry buzz suggests the team wants to improve the final output. There is also talk of additional patchwork and changes to key scenes and dialogues.
Other rumors claim Trivikram rewrote portions of the script and reshot scenes multiple times. There is also talk of repeated changes to the cinematographer and music director.
This raises an obvious question among NTR fans: if a regular family entertainer requires so much reworking, how will Trivikram handle a project as demanding as God of War? If he struggles to establish a clear creative direction for a conventional commercial film, what will happen when he takes on a mythological epic that demands extraordinary vision?
A film of this scale requires detailed pre-production, extensive visual planning, convincing VFX, careful world-building and a clear creative vision. Mistakes at this level could prove extremely expensive.
Expectations for God of War are enormous. NTR fans want reassurance that the project will be planned properly before the cameras roll.
For Trivikram, God of War could be an opportunity to move beyond his established commercial filmmaking style and emerge as a pan-India force. But the concerns surrounding Aadarsha Kutumbam AK 47 have created BIG doubts. If AK47 turns out to be an entertaining film and performs well at the box office, NTR fans may finally heave a sigh of relief. Otherwise, God of War could face huge negativity even before it goes on floors.
