Among all of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming projects, OG is the one generating the most excitement. Directed by Sujeeth, one of the brightest young filmmakers in Tollywood, the film created buzz right from its announcement. The initial glimpse video only added to the anticipation, with fans eager to see Pawan back in full action mode.
The film was originally expected to release earlier, but it faced multiple delays due to Pawan Kalyan’s political responsibilities and the pending shoot of Hari Hara Veera Mallu. With both films now wrapped up, the makers have confirmed a new release date. OG will hit theatres on September 25 with a grand Pan-India release planned for the Dussehra festive season.
Currently in post-production, the film recently launched its first lyrical track titled Firestorm. While the song received strong support from Pawan’s loyal fanbase, the reaction from the wider audience has been more mixed. Music director Thaman, who is under significant pressure to deliver a powerful album, has now turned his attention to the film’s background score.
According to inside sources, Thaman has already begun re-recording and is putting in serious hours to perfect every sequence. A major part of his focus is the film’s interval block, which is said to be one of the most explosive moments in the movie. This section is being given special attention, and the background music for it is being designed to amplify the dramatic impact and mass appeal.
Given Thaman’s successful track record with iconic interval scores in past blockbusters, fans are hoping that he will deliver one of his best pieces yet for OG. With Pawan Kalyan back in full form, Sujeeth’s direction promising strong visuals, and Thaman in charge of the music, the stakes are high and expectations even higher.
Whether OG lives up to the hype will be revealed this Dussehra, when it finally arrives in theatres.
