The elections process are halfway through in Andhra Pradesh with the completion of the polling process in Andhra Pradesh for the assembly and parliamentary elections, and the general election in Telangana.
As of now, the Telugu states are entirely gripped by the electoral trends in AP. Everyone is curious about the polling percentage and the incoming exit polls which will be out on June 1st.
With the election fever fully taking over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film industry has taken the back seat. People are least bothered about new theatrical releases or the hungama surrounding them. Likewise, there are no major films lined up for release over the next couple of weeks either.
Incidentally, there is one major occasion that falls between the polling and counting that could partially take the attention and that is the arrival of the first song from NTR’s Devara.
NTR’s birthday falls on the 20th of May and the makers of Devara are likely to drop the first song from the album on the special day. Given the scale of Devara and NTR’s name being prevalent in the election mood, the song from Devara could perhaps take the attention of a section of the Telugu audience away from the election heat.
