Two Films Heading Towards Disaster

It was a fateful year when some movies surprised turning blockbusters and surprise super hits like the dubbing version of ‘KGF’. While the Telugu dubbed version of KGF is having a decent run at the box office in both the Telugu States and also the same with regard to the Hindi dubbed version, two straight movies which were thought to be potential winners before their releases, turned out to be total disappointments.

Out of the two movies, it was ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu’ that is going to be the biggest disaster in the US. The break-even figure for the movie has been $1.1 million but the movie has collected a total gross of $289,912. Even ‘Antariksham’ is a disaster with a break-even at $1 million when the movie grossed only $401,455. So, both the movies are a debacle while the latter is a little better.

The numbers aren’t better for the movies in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The fate is anyway sealed. On the one hand, the two movies are proved disasters and on the other hand, ‘Husharu’ and ‘KGF’ are sustaining well at the box-office. Every Friday, the fate of the newly released movies is sealed by the audiences and this time, the verdict is very clear.
