Indian2 to Parasakthi Disasters: Most Sensible & Lucky Star

Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi and Sreeleela, and directed by Sudha Kongara, released in theatres on January 10th. The film received disastrous responses from both audiences and critics.

As Sivakarthikeyan’s milestone 25th film, Parasakthi carried huge expectations before release. However, negative reviews led to a sharp drop after the first weekend, resulting in a major box office failure.

Following this outcome, social media discussions have shifted focus to Dulquer Salmaan. Many users are calling him a real-life Lucky Bhaskar, noting that he was initially supposed to act in Parasakthi before opting out, with Jayam Ravi later replacing him.

Users further point out that Dulquer Salmaan had stepped away from three Kollywood projects, namely Indian2, Thug Life and Parasakthi. Coincidentally, all three films ended up as major disasters.

This has led to extreme reactions online, with some jokingly suggesting that actors should avoid projects that Dulquer Salmaan exits. They claim such films appear cursed and are destined to fail.

However, others offer a more balanced view. They argue that Dulquer Salmaan has a strong script sense, which explains why he chose to walk away from these projects despite opportunities to work with top Kollywood directors. The debate continues to intensify across social media platforms.
