Pathaan: A Gamechanger For Bollywood

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has turned out to be a tsunami at the box office. The film smashed all the records in Bollywood on its first day by collecting 55 crores on its first day. But what it has done on its second day is something unheard of.

Due to the holiday factor, the trade expected that Pathaan would collect somewhere around 60 crores. But it has shocked everyone, and the second-day collections are 70 crore+ which is beyond phenomenal.

Bollywood’s highest weekend record was Sanju which collected 119 crores which Pathaan has surpassed in just two days.

The film has done unprecedented business overseas as well by collecting around 5 Million on its first day taking Pathaan’s first-day worldwide gross to Rs. 106 crores.

Pathaan now holds the record for:

Domestic:
Record Opening Day
Record Opening Weekend
Record Opening Week

Overseas:
Record
Opening Day Record
Opening Weekend Record
Opening Week

Worldwide:
Record Opening Day
Record Opening Weekend
Record Opening Week

All new records will be registered in the name of Pathaan.

With Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has reclaimed his throne in Bollywood. Despite No SS Rajamouli, no Prashanth Neel, Incessant Boycott calls, no Interviews, and no promotions, Pathaan will be in the Top 5 India Grossers.

Pathaan is a game-changer for Bollywood and it will be interesting to see if the upcoming Bollywood releases will keep up this momentum.
