Next Thursday, Tollywood will be witnessing one of its bigger releases in recent times in the form of Peddi. Ahead of the same. There is a lot of discussion happening about the technical aspect of this film on social media.
One of the main discussions about the musical aspect as Buchi Babu went for out of form but immensely legendary AR Rahman for the film.
Earlier, in the case of Uppena, it was Devi Sri Prasad, who carried the musical flow of the film with his brilliant songs and background score. The film had good quality visuals, and this was paired with some pretty strong audio tracks which amalgamated to deliver a good film.
But now, in the case of Peddi, there isn’t as much musical impetus before the release. Chikiri was sensational chartbuster but that’s about it. Rahman will have to do the heavy lifting in the theatres as a lot, lot will depend on his musical score for the film.
Earlier, DSP almost single-handedly carried Uppena with his musical work and now, Rahman will have to do it at a much bigger capacity. The director needs to justify his choice of going for Rahman by extracting the very best and there are no two ways about it.
