Peddi

Ram Charan has raised eyebrows and expectations with a bold comment about his upcoming film Peddi.

During a fan meet in London, a video has now gone viral where he said, “It’s probably more exciting than Rangasthalam and RRR. I don’t say this for every film. You can note it down.”

This wasn’t just regular film promotion. Charan is known for being grounded and careful with his words. So, for fans, this rare statement stood out.

Charan’s career reached new heights with Rangasthalam and RRR. Both films were not only box office hits but also proved his range as a serious actor. Now, with Peddi, he seems ready to take things even further.

Peddi is a rustic sports drama directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana. It features music by A.R. Rahman and a strong cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu.

A short glimpse released earlier this year showed Charan in a raw, earthy look — smoking a beedi and playing cricket. The tone was emotional and grounded, far from his usual larger-than-life roles.

Unlike big-budget films with loud promotions, Peddi has maintained a low-key profile. That’s why Charan’s spontaneous excitement about the film feels genuine and adds to the buzz.

Fans are also waiting for him to make a huge comeback after the epic fiasco called Game Changer, which hugely dented his reputation as a star and also as an actor.

Peddi’s local setting and emotional story could give the film the kind of impact Rangasthalam had — but in a completely different genre. If it delivers on Charan’s promise, Peddi might once again shift the course of his career.
