Peddi April 30 Race Against Time: Too Many Red Flags?

Peddi’s release date is still uncertain, even though Ram Charan has clearly said it will not be postponed. Normally, that should end all rumors, but it has not. The confusion actually increased after the Hanuman Jayanti poster which did not mention the April 30 release date. That made trade circles suspicious that something might be off.

Technically, the film is close to completion. Most of the shooting, the talkie part, is done, and only one song is left. But since this is a big pan India film, the real challenge is post-production, especially the background score by A. R. Rahman and final editing work.

At the same time, overseas distributors are already promoting premieres, and some booking activity, like in Dallas, is being discussed. This usually indicates confidence, but in this case, it feels rushed because time is very limited.

There are also other red flags. The remaining song is not completed, post-production is still ongoing, and official advance bookings have not properly opened yet. That is why many in the industry feel the deadline is hard to meet. Adding to the confusion, producer SKN mistakenly said the film was postponed and later apologized. This only increased doubts.

On the other hand, Ram Charan is fully committed to releasing on time. He is pushing hard and even working after an eye injury. Director Buchi Babu Sana is also actively handling post-production work.

Right now, the biggest dependency is A. R. Rahman. How fast he completes the background score will decide everything.

April 8 is the key date. If bookings open properly, the film will likely release on April 30. If not, postponement becomes very likely.

Meanwhile, several films like Swayambhu, Maa Inti Bangaram, and others, are closely watching Peddi. They are ready to lock the April 30 slot the moment an official postponement is announced. This uncertainty is also creating complications for exhibitors, who need to finalize theatre agreements in advance.

In short, the film is in a race against time. The intent to release is strong, but whether everything gets finished on time is still uncertain.
