Ram Charan’s Peddi had a record-breaking start in USA advance bookings when sales first opened. The initial response created blockbuster excitement, with many trade followers expecting the film to challenge premiere numbers of big pan-India films like RRR and Kalki 2898 AD. However, as premiere day comes closer, the momentum now appears to have slowed down.
Current USA premiere advance sales stand at $410K. Total North America premiere pre-sales have crossed $450K with nearly 16,000 tickets sold, with 12 days still remaining for premieres.
While those numbers are solid, some trade observers feel the day-to-day growth has not matched the massive expectations created when the sales started. Early projections aimed very high, but current trends suggest Peddi may now target numbers closer to The Raja Saab’s $1.3 to $1.5 million range rather than entering the top-tier premiere benchmarks immediately. Trade experts suggest a huge boost is now needed to touch the $2 million premiere mark in the US.
According to trade experts, the recently released trailer did not generate the same impact. Although the trailer showcased Ram Charan’s rugged transformation and multiple sports sequences, many fans felt it lacked one standout “goosebumps” moment that could fully elevate the hype.
As a result, social media discussions have become divided. Some fans believe there is nothing to worry about and argue that pre-sales usually accelerate during the final release week. Others feel the film needs one massive promotional push to reignite excitement.
Industry discussions now point toward two possible hype boosters: the upcoming song launch event in Bhopal and a stronger second trailer closer to release. A powerful final trailer could become the “helicopter shot moment” of Peddi’s promotional campaign and help recover momentum.
More promotional events are lined up, and the team reportedly believes audience interest will strengthen again as the release approaches.
At the same time, box office trends often change quickly. Films sometimes lose momentum temporarily but regain it with strong content and effective promotions. With music promotions still pending and marketing expected to intensify, the final booking trend may look very different closer to release.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4. The next few promotional assets could now play a crucial role in determining whether the film fully converts its early buzz into big premiere numbers.
