Pepsico CEO Indira Nooyi may be coming down to Andhra Pradesh for the inauguration of Pepsico Beverages Plant at Sri City Plant, Chittoor. This is the first biggest industry opening in Andhra Pradesh after the state division. The inauguration will take place on 3rd April.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is likely to meet her and explain her about the more business opportunities in the state. This plant is the biggest plant in the country for Pepsico with an investment of 1500 Crore. The government is expecting that Indira Nooyi’s visit to the state will increase its brand value.
The plant which makes fruit drinks, soft drinks and sports drinks, is expected to provide employment to 8000 people directly and indirectly. The company and its partners are planning to invest 33000 Crore in this plant by 2020. The company also have a plant in Sangareddy near Hyderabad.
