As the release date of Rajinikanth’s Kochdaiyaan draws closer, The Superstar mania is gripping the fans all over the Tamil Nadu. A brigade of 500 hardcore fans of the actor from Sholingur town in the adjoining Vellore district of Tamil Nadu came all over to Tirupati praying for the film’s success. Clad in Kochadaiyaan T-Shirts, they carried the posters of Lord Venkateswara and Rajinikanth. They carried Rajini posters only up to the foot hills of Tirumala as carrying posters glorifying individuals is not permitted at Tirumala.
Along with their fanatic act, they also undertook a social awareness event. They distributed pamphlets to their co-piligirms stressing the importance of exercising their franchise in the coming elections. They also advertised about the ill-effects of smoking and consuming liquor. The fans cum devotees reached the shrine and offered their prayers to the Lord on Wednesday and walked all the way down the hill too. Certainly these 500 odd fans set a new landmark for the other hero fans!
