PK to herald new box office reporting system

Collections are always what decide whether a film is success or a failure anywhere in the world. It is because of this that the reporting of collections acquires such significance all over and a need to have a system that reports the collections properly.

However box office reporting doesn’t happen that transparently in India and as a result we have multiple numbers doing the rounds for a single film. Aamir Khan has been one actor though who has stayed away from such manipulations and more often than not, the numbers that are released for his films remains the same universally.

When it comes to his next release PK, the star and his production team are taking this transparency forward. They are officially going to allow Rentrak report the numbers following its mechanism. Rentrak is a global box office reporting giant that reports collections in various countries across the world. It is only in India that they have failed to take off earlier but now with a big film like PK, they are hoping to show their strength and prove their repute.
