Political Rumor: Reason for Salaar’s Postponement

To the utter shock and disappointment of not just Prabhas fans but all cinema lovers, Salaar’s release was postponed at the last minute from its release date of September 28. The makers are now looking to release it in November.

While there are many theories going on social media behind its postponement, a strong political rumor is also making noise.

According to some unconfirmed sources, the central government has put pressure on Salaar makers to postpone the release as The Vaccine War was also releasing on the same date.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Vaccine War is a movie that applauds the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021-22.

The film aims to spotlight how the BJP Government saved millions of lives and intends to garner support for the BJP party in the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

If Salaar had been released on the same date, it would have overshadowed The Vaccine War. The Vivek Agnihotri film might have struggled to create minimum impact at the box office, potentially undermining its main purpose. So, the BJP government seems to have pressurized the makers of Salaar to postpone and not steal their limelight.

This reason for postponement looks far-fetched but, however, cannot be denied.
