The yet to be titled film has been reportedly snapped up by a leading Television network for a whopping 21 Cr, and this is only for the Telugu language. It is a huge and massive price for single language rights as so far no film has reached 20 Cr mark. Including the Hindi dub which is said to be 11 Cr, the total rights stand at 32 Cr.
When we add the other languages into the mix, there is Spyder which is sitting pretty with 26 Cr deal that includes Hindi and Tamil. The dubbing market for Telugu movies in Hindi is a significant advantage, and it’s nice to see the producers making the maximum out of it even if it is via satellite rights.
