From Rowdy Wear to UNHYPE: Vijay’s Business Game Grows

Vijay Deverakonda is making another move outside cinema, and this time he is putting his own skin in the game. The actor has entered the skincare business with UNHYPE, a brand he has co-founded and helped build from the ground up.

Unlike a typical celebrity brand where the star becomes the face after everything is ready, Vijay says he spent nearly nine months working on UNHYPE. He tested every version of the products on his own face before deciding to take the brand forward. The actor wanted products that were simple, science-backed and made specifically for young Indian skin.

That hands-on involvement is clearly being made a key part of Vijay’s new venture. UNHYPE is built around straightforward skincare routines for concerns such as acne, breakouts, tanning and dullness, with the brand targeting younger consumers.

For Vijay, this is another step in building an identity beyond films. He already has Rowdy Wear and has explored several other business opportunities and brand collaborations. His strong connect with the youth has also helped him extend his influence beyond the screen.

With UNHYPE, Vijay is now trying to build something where his name is not just attached to the product, but involved in the product itself.

On the film front, he is currently gearing up for Ranabaali, which is scheduled to release on October 16.
