PR Kandriga flaunts Sachin’s pics on houses

Little did the residents of Puttamraju Kandriga of Nellore district guess that a chance encounter of their Joint Collector Rekha Rani with cricket legend Sachin would change the entire facet of their village, the development of infrastructure and skill-based improvement. What Rekha Rani had in mind was Rs.5 crore MPLAD funds and Sachin planning to adopt a village to spend the amount.

This chance encounter made Sachin to choose PR Kandriga over others and since then the villagers could see the visible change in the infrastructure like provision of tiled toilets, proper drainage system, roads, community centre, play ground etc besides tap water to everyone in the village. The village today boasts of modern look with dish antenna atop every pucca house and tiled toilets which they used to see in TV serials.

We can notice Sachin’s pics on the houses which speaks volumes on how the cricket God has changed the village in a matter of months. This development isn’t going to be limited to infrastructure but Sachin is committed to skills development in the second phase of this project as an answer to provide for livelihood of the people in PS Kandriga.

The present collector of Nellore, M.Janaki is now facing a growing demand for such development from neighbouring villages as well. That’s enough for the cricket legend’s achievement making him like real God for the people of PS Kandriga.
