Prabhas’ highly anticipated Fauzi has been postponed. Producer Y. Ravi Shankar confirmed the delay at the pre-release event of Nani’s The Paradise in Hyderabad.
Ravi Shankar did not announce a new release date. However, his comments made it clear that the film will not arrive as originally planned on December 3, 2026. He also stressed that the team is taking extra time because of the film’s scale and quality.
The producer described Fauzi as a film that will be on another level and compared its scale with Baahubali. He also called it one of the most special films in Prabhas’ career and assured fans that they would cherish it.
The delay has already triggered a lot of discussion among Prabhas fans. January 26, 2027, is currently being discussed as a possible new release date, especially because the film has a pre-Independence setting. However, this date has not been officially confirmed by Ravi Shankar. Recent reports have also linked the delay to additional post-production and VFX work.
Fauzi‘s postponement could also affect the release plans of Prabhas’ other projects, particularly Spirit, which has been planned for March 5, 2027. However, any changes to those dates are also yet to be officially announced.
For now, the only confirmed development is the postponement. January 26 remains a release-date buzz, not an official announcement. Fans will have to wait for Mythri Movie Makers to reveal the new date.
